Rebecca Demers
Becky Demers, a sophomore Graphic Design major was drawn to the Photo Venice trip for several reasons. Having been a recreational photographer at her family reunions, she knew she enjoyed making pictures. Since Photography had been more of a hobby, she didn’t initially consider the Venice program as an academic opportunity for her. However, she found that Still Digital Imaging could one day become an integral part of her design career and Venice would be ideal for giving her that experience.
Traveling abroad to Venice is Becky’s first step in experiencing a world outside of America. She reasoned that there could be no better a place to photograph than the beautiful city of Venice with its wide palette of subjects to capture on camera. Having completed the Photo I introductory course at Northeastern, she has found an attraction to both vibrant and subdued color. She hopes to find this throughout the Venetian culture and architecture. Becky sees her decision to come to Venice as most likely being one of the best she’s ever made.
