Danielle Burckson

Danielle is a young woman on a mission. Since the early age of five, Danielle has been driven to toward one goal to complete her education and to become a member of the legal profession and the political arena. After graduating from Mercy High School in Connecticut, Danielle chose Northeastern University in Boston to begin the process of achieving her goals. Danielle is a Political Science major with a minor in photography and in history with the anticipated graduation date of 2008. Photography seems to be a far stretch from the political science and history world but Danielle has been interested in photography since her junior high days. She was impressed with the works of Ansel Adams and since then has been unable to put the camera down.

Throughout her years at Northeastern, Danielle has remained an active member of the student body through student groups such as the Student Government Association, Residential Life, and Campus Girl Scouts. As a member of Campus Girl Scouts Danielle takes a troop leader role, mentoring girls ranging from ages five to twelve, from the Roxbury area.

After studying abroad in London, England at the London School of Economics in the spring of 2006, she was excited to learn of another study abroad program that involved both of her minors. It was a perfect place for her to explore history and continue working on her photography.
