Christopher Monfort

Christopher Montfort is a senior Photography major and Graphic Design minor. Originally accepted to Northeastern as a Computer Science major, he quickly found out that his talents would be better served using art as a medium for communication. On break from the University he became an employee of Fassforward Consulting Group where he was given the opportunity to work with various Fortune 500 companies in an effort to help them use imagery, both original and supplied, in order to communicate various topics to clients, employees, and superiors. At this time he also received his Associates Degree from Westchester Community College in Visual Arts. Returning to Northeastern, Christopher looked towards photography as the ultimate solution to learning how to communicate ideas with imagery. He hopes that this concentration coupled with Graphic Design will help develop his skills further.

During his trip to Venice Christopher hopes to learn how communication works in other parts of the world, whether it is spoken or visual. He has spent many days and some nights traveling through the canals photographing people and sites in order to find his ultimate answer to what people respond to and why. On this trip he has already learned so much and hopes to communicate what he has seen, felt, and embraced so that others might understand and appreciate the beauty of Venice and its people.
