Ysharda Clement

Ysharda Clement began Northeastern University in the spring of 2007 as a biology major. A native of the small Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago, she came to Boston prepared to challenge herself and experience life to the fullest. By the fall semester, she decided to major in art also, as this had been a major part of her pre-college life. She is particularly interested in painting. The art program at Northeastern so far has proved to be challenging to her as she explores other areas, such as sculpture and more recently photography. The opportunity to study photography in Venice was so exciting and interesting. The city is filled with great works of art, even in the way it was built and exploring it is fun and intriguing.

While in Venice, Ysharda enjoyed visiting the quieter areas of the city, relaxing at the beach and getting lost in the winding streets. Art, be it painting or photography is a way of capturing special moments in life and Ysharda hopes that combined with her love of traveling and learning about different cultures and traditions, she can show these memories.
