Katie Drago

After being raised in a rural town in northern New Jersey, Katherine Drago made the decision to attend Northeastern University in Boston in an attempt to shake up her quiet life. Upon arriving in the city, this small-town girl chose to pursue a degree in Graphic Design, a field which melded her love of both art and communication.

Though presently enjoying the urban setting of her recent life in Boston, Katherine has far from forgotten her rural upbringing, and considers her ties to nature an important part of herself. She strives to maintain a balance between the rustic and metropolitan aspects of her life, and hopes that this will be portrayed throughout her future work.

With only a small amount of experience in photography, Katherine chose to be a part of the Venice program in order to broaden her knowledge on the subject and increase her photographic skills.

In her spare time, Katherine enjoys reading, painting, and napping. She is interested in post-modern literature, cardigan sweaters, and the gravitational pull of the moon. Her drink of choice is water. She hopes to someday become successful and live happily in a renovated farmhouse with her friends and family nearby.
